With all the media has projected on our society of an unreachable idea of beauty, young girls are pressured to look or act a certain way, which more often than not isn’t who they really are. Therefore, it is important that they are taught how to maintain a positive self-image in order to be successful and more importantly, healthy. After completing my junior research paper, I concluded that a positive outlook on life is healthier than having a negative one. This made it clear that girls caving in to having a negative self-concept is highly unhealthy for them. I couldn't bear to see any girl hurting, and decided it was time to try and make a difference. So, I decided to teach girls that they are really, truly, princesses.
